Between Which Ages Is An Individual Legally Considered A Child?

WHAT AGE DOES UK LAW CONSIDER SOMEONE TO BE A CHILD?

An individual up to the age of 18 years is considered a child in the UK. Even if a child has reached the age of 16 years and is in the armed forces, living independently, or in further education they are still legally children and are given the same protection as any other child.

WHAT AGE IS A CHILD AS FAR AS THE UNITED NATIONS IS CONCERNED?

The United Nations Convention For The Rights Of A Child (UNCRC) states that anyone under the age of 18 years is considered a child.
