Honey and lemon are two natural ingredients that have been combined for centuries to make recipes that help with a variety of health and skincare problems. The success of this mixture is unparalleled. But why these two ingredients?
Honey is known to have both antioxidant and antibacterial properties. It has the same pH as the human skin and is rich in many nutrients such as potassium, iron and vitamin B which are excellent for soothing and healing lots of skin problems. Honey is also easily absorbed by the skin and is great at drawing moisture to the skin.
Lemons are equally as great, having the ability to tackle dead skin cells, acne, and blackheads because they are rich in potassium, magnesium, calcium and antioxidant vitamins. Whilst keeping your skin clean and helping fade scars, the citrus fruit also leaves your skin feeling moisturised and glowing brighter.
