Scott Schedule (With Template)
A Table Used In Family Proceedings Which Sets Out Disputed Allegations
WHAT IS THE SCOTT SCHEDULE USED FOR?
The Scott Schedule is a table on a A4 piece of paper, in landscape orientation, on which you can detail your allegations against your ex-partner. You ex-partner will be required to respond to these allegations on the same Scott Schedule.
CHILD ARRANGEMENTS – The Scott Schedule is usually used in child arrangement proceedings to make allegations of domestic abuse.
FINANCIAL SETTLEMENT – The Scott Schedule can also be used in financial settlement proceedings to make allegations of financial misconduct against your ex-partner.
If you are making allegations against your ex-partner then the judge/magistrate will order you to complete a Scott Schedule and forward a copy to the court and to your ex-partner (who the allegations are against in the proceedings) by a specific date and time. Your ex-partner must then complete their section and forward a copy to the court and to you by the date given by the judge/magistrate. A Scott Schedule is asked for by the judge/magistrate in preparation for a fact finding hearing where it will be determined whether these allegations are true or not.
ARE THERE ANY GOVERNMENT OR OUR OWN L.I.P HELP GUIDES OR WRITE UPS TO HELP YOU COMPLETE THE SCOTT SCHEDULE ?
There are no government guides to help you complete your Scott Schedule. The court staff will explain how to complete it when it is given to you. If they do not please ask them.

HOW TO COMPLETE THE SCOTT SCHEDULE AND WHERE TO SEND IT.

- NOTE 3 – You should complete the Scott Schedule in black pen.

- NOTE 6 – On the Scott Schedule you can refer to your ex-partner as the applicant or respondent, whichever one they are or by their name. Please try not to refer to your partner as W (wife) or H (husband) as some solicitors firms recommend because we feel it is cold.
- NOTE 7 – Please be factual and concise on your Scott Schedule.
- NOTE 8 – Please keep a copy of the Scott Schedule, all evidence and attachments for yourself outside of the one you send to the family court.
- The Scott Schedule is normally 2 pages long.

- Column 1 – Number of the allegation.
- Column 2 – Date the incident the allegation is about occurred.
- Column 3 – Concise details about the allegation.
- Column 4 – Reference to a witness statement and evidence which goes into further detail about the allegation.
- Column 5 – The individual who the allegations are against will write their response to the allegation. They will need to write whether they admit or deny the allegation.
- Column 6 – Reference to a witness statement and evidence from the individual who the allegation is against which goes into further detail about whether they admit or deny the allegation.
- Column 7 – The judge/magistrate will complete this section with their findings.
